SUBTITLE EDITOR

Subtitles done. The video never left.

Even if the file is 2 GB. Even if there are no subtitles yet.

The subtitle editor: video with subtitles overlaid, the cue list and the timeline

Every online subtitle editor wants your video on its server.

Upload, wait, a paywall before export. And desktop tools want an install and an evening to learn.

Sound familiar?

This is for you if…

Yes

  • You fix auto-captions before publishing
  • The video contains things you would rather not upload
  • You need tracks in several languages
  • You want to burn in subtitles without installing anything

No

  • You need a team working on one file together
  • You need editing, not subtitles

What you get

  • The video never leaves your device

Files open straight from disk. Only the AI features talk to a server in the EU.

  • SRT and VTT

Open and export both formats, one file per language.

  • Drag the subtitle onto the frame

It lands where you drop it. A nine-zone grid for the standard positions.

  • Find and replace across every cue

One transcription error in two hundred lines — one pass.

  • See the style immediately

Font, size, colour, outline — right on the video. Burn-in matches the preview exactly.

  • Burn-in inside the browser

ffmpeg runs in your browser. Pick the quality — the finished file lands on disk.

  • Subtitles from speech

Deepgram Nova-3 transcribes the track with word-level timestamps. Part of Pro — 7 days free.

  • AI edits and translates

Tidy the wording, translate a track into another language — via a server in the EU. Part of Pro.

Four steps

No upload. Editing is free — Pro is only for the AI.

1

Open a video

Straight from disk. No upload, no size limit.

2

Load subtitles

SRT or VTT — or generate them from speech.

3

Edit and style

Timing on a waveform timeline, text alongside, position by dragging.

4

Export or burn in

SRT and VTT per language — or the finished video with subtitles.

What it looks like

Real screens from the editor, not mock-ups.

The style panel: font, size, colour, outline and subtitle position right on the video

The style panel: the result shows on the video at once, and burn-in reproduces it exactly.

Try it now

The video is never uploaded. Manual editing is free, no account needed. The AI features are part of Pro — the first 7 days are free.

Open the Editor

Burn-in without leaving the browser

The editor runs ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly right in your browser. The engine downloads once before the first burn-in (~30 MB, cached afterwards). Slower than a native encoder — but the video never leaves your device.

Subtitles with AI

  • Transcription — Deepgram Nova-3, word-level timestamps, the result lands straight in the editor.
  • Editing and translation — Vertex AI in the EU: tidy the wording or make a track in another language.

Both go through a server in the EU and are part of Pro — every account starts with 7 days of Pro, no card. The video itself stays with you: transcription sends only the audio track, editing and translation only the text.

Pricing

  • Free — the whole editor: timing, text, style, SRT and VTT, burn-in. No account.
  • Pro — €5.99/month billed yearly (€7.99 monthly): transcription, AI editing and translation — and everything Pro unlocks in Dictation. The first 7 days are free, no card.
